10kW Solar, Syndenham United Church

As part of Greening Sacred Spaces we designed and installed a 10 kW Enphase micro-inverter MicroFIT solar power system.

Syndenham United Church in Brantford, ON Obvious roof work needed. Great surface area to work with! Many tall ladders had to be used -- it's critical that our installers are all Fall Safety Certified. If you need a new roof, it's a good idea to take care of that before installing solar panels. New roof shingles were required before installing the solar panels that will be on there for more than 20 years Half the rails are installed here. This solar installation done by EfstonScience sits on the south facing roof of the Syndenham United Church in Brantford, Ontario.

Before the 10 kW MicroFIT solar power system could be installed, new roof shingles were laid down. If you think your roof may need repair or replacement in the next 10 years, this is a key step to take.

This system is made up of 52 x 220 W CSI panels and 52 x 190 W Enphase micro-inverters. Electricity produced will be fed into the power grid. Syndenham United Church will make $10,000 a year from the Ontario Power Authority and Brantford Hydro.
