I am interested in this application for my house in halifax. We are going through some wind turbine legislation to say what is acceptable and what isn’t. I would like to know what Ontario has done to help people not be afraid of the wind noise.

Omnidirectional Vertical Axis turbines only spin as fast as the wind (vs. propeller-types which use aerodynamic lift to spin faster) – as a result they are much quieter and do not exhibit the visual ’strobing’ of horizontal designs. While they have a lot of benefits, especially for urban settings, they may not be the best for large-scale wind farm applications.

Look at that couple — they are both pot smokers all right. Probably have a grow-up as well. That’s why they need extra power ;-)
